2 Hour Webinar – NSPIRE Scoring Changes Are Live: Is Your Property Ready?”

By the end of this LIVE webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Identify and Understand the NSPIRE deficiencies that began scoring on October 1, 2026, including a comprehensive discussion of the following deficiencies: fire-labeled doors, GFCI/AFCI protection, guardrails, HVAC, lighting, and minimum electrical requirements.

2. Distinguish between deficiencies that remain Life-Threatening but non-scoring and those that will impact a property’s NSPIRE score.

3. Apply the new scoring information to inspection preparation and property management, including identifying areas that should be addressed before a scored REAC inspection and understanding the importance of resident communication and accessibility to required electrical outlets.

Kathi Markan has been a certified HUD-REAC inspector for 19 years. She joined the team at Constructive Forensics in 2018 to pursue her passion – helping property management improve their REAC knowledge by performing Pre-REAC inspections using the new NSPIRE protocol, conducting NSPIRE trainings and assisting scoring appeals.
Her favorite motto with her HUD clients is: “The more you understand, the higher you’ll score, the less you’ll see REAC inspectors, and the happier the tenants will be!” Additionally, Kathi conducts Quality Assurance inspections on all phases of new construction to ensure code compliance for litigation prevention and defense.
