In November’s edition of our HUD-REAC Monthly Newsletter, I am providing you with 5 essential tools to help you prepare for your REAC inspection!
REAC Quick Prep Guide
- Condensed list of high scoring deficiencies that are relatively simple/inexpensive to repair.
- Organized into the 5 inspect able areas plus Health & Safeties
- Check boxes are provided for an easy way to monitor and track REAC preparation
- The Guide should be used as a final check of REAC preparedness prior to inspection.
Inspection Checklist
- A complete account of every single HUD-REAC deficiency organized into the 5 inspectable areas.
- Provided in both Excel and PDF formats
REAC Binder
- Contains a comprehensive list all mandatory documentation required for the REAC inspection.
- The list is organized by importance to the REAC inspector – follow this format in creating your binder.
- Don’t forget to update the binder prior to future REAC inspections with the most current information!
Management and Unit Spreadsheets
- Filling these out really make inspectors happy.
- Although the Management Spreadsheet will have to be periodically updated, the Unit Spreadsheet usually will not.
- On the Unit Spreadsheet:
- Follow the example in the first rows. You can delete these rows after you enter your information!
- It is formatted to fit 10 units per row – do not add units to the right…stick to the bordered areas.
