especially when you have clothes dryers inside every Unit!\u00a0 Remember, 30 points or more lost in the Unit inspectable area\u2026you will receive a score of 59.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What does HUD mean by \u201cRestricted?\u201d<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nAll the inspector needs is a reasonable doubt:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px; width: 600px; height: 354px; margin: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/09ba5c1c1015b2f3c02e52ae8\/images\/58a672c2-3df9-64c3-7712-cc549890e9fd.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"354\" data-file-id=\"3040738\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For Electric Dryers ONLY:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px; width: 600px; height: 41px; margin: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/09ba5c1c1015b2f3c02e52ae8\/images\/0d47c859-427b-567c-1d41-a28fe90084a1.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"41\" data-file-id=\"3040734\" \/><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px; width: 600px; height: 251px; margin: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/09ba5c1c1015b2f3c02e52ae8\/images\/7360d41c-2fed-0829-65de-5bf1dcab610a.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"251\" data-file-id=\"3040739\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Can this be cited Outside?<\/strong><br \/>\nYep \u2013 and it\u2019s also Life-Threatening (but only scored once for the entire Outside)!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px; width: 600px; height: 26px; margin: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/09ba5c1c1015b2f3c02e52ae8\/images\/43df25c2-beab-b8a3-2685-9960260363e4.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"26\" data-file-id=\"3040733\" \/><br \/>\nAlthough HUD does not state cages\/screens are a deficiency UNLESS they have lint in them\u2026did you know that cages\/screens are against Code? <a href=\"https:\/\/codes.iccsafe.org\/s\/IMC2024P1\/chapter-5-exhaust-systems\/IMC2024P1-Ch05-Sec504.4\">International Mechanical Code 504.4<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/codes.iccsafe.org\/content\/IRC2021P2\/chapter-15-exhaust-systems\">International Residential Code M1502.3<\/a> prohibit \u201cscreens\u201d on the duct termination outside (most jurisdictions view cages as screens):<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px; width: 600px; height: 89px; margin: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/09ba5c1c1015b2f3c02e52ae8\/images\/a8ed8168-81cb-987a-7957-49449b1da4d7.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"89\" data-file-id=\"3040736\" \/><br \/>\nDryer manufacturers also prohibit them!<br \/>\nPrimarily for this reason:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px; width: 600px; height: 287px; margin: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/09ba5c1c1015b2f3c02e52ae8\/images\/6bcd4bd5-7727-962d-2d39-96289780fb3f.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"287\" data-file-id=\"3040743\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So how do you keep birds, squirrels, etc. from getting inside?! \u00a0Dampers and louvers are accepted by code but honestly, ALL of them need to be on a cleaning schedule\u2026<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px initial;
